Terms of Service

Last updated October 3, 2026

Written for the private beta as a reasonable, accurate draft -- not reviewed by a lawyer. Have it reviewed before public launch.

The service

Shortform lets you schedule your own short-form videos to platforms you connect (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram), import clips from Twitch, and see how posts made through the app performed. During the private beta the service may change, pause, or have bugs, and features may be added or removed.

Your content and accounts

You keep ownership of everything you upload or import. You give us permission to store it and send it to the platforms you choose, only to deliver the service -- we don't use it for anything else.

You're responsible for having the rights to what you post, and for following each platform's own rules: YouTube's Terms of Service, TikTok's Terms of Service and Music Usage Confirmation, and Instagram's Terms of Use. We can't be responsible for a platform rejecting, removing or penalizing a post for breaking its own rules.

You're responsible for keeping your account secure. Let us know if you think someone else has access to it.

Limits

Platforms set their own posting limits, review processes and uptime, and may reject, delay or remove a post for reasons outside our control. We retry failures where it makes sense and tell you when something fails, but we can't guarantee a scheduled post goes live, or stays live.

During the private beta, TikTok posts go through TikTok's "unaudited app" restrictions (private-only, limited posts per day) until our TikTok app passes their review.

Ending

You can stop using Shortform and ask us to delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy for how). We may suspend or end an account that misuses the service, breaks a connected platform's rules through the app, or attempts to abuse or overload it.

Disclaimer and liability

Shortform is provided "as is" during the private beta, without warranty of any kind, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular post will publish successfully. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service changes. We'll post the new version here with an updated date.
